In order to be eligible for the DDEC Equestrian Club the participant must be enrolled in the Double Diamond Equestrian Center riding school. This can mean taking either group lessons, private lessons, or both. Participants must also enthusiastically support the mission, goals, and ideals of the DDEC Equestrian Club and Equestrian Team.
Show Club Membership
All DDEC riding school students are welcome to join the DDEC Equestrian Club.
Following are the membership requirements of the DDEC Equestrian Club:
•Every member must maintain at least a 2.5 GPA in school. •Work all riding school shows held at DDEC. •Attend and assist at least 2 shows per year with the DDEC Equestrian Team. •Must continually stay enrolled in at least one riding school class per semester or 2 private lessons per month. •During summer months each member must attend at least one camp per month as either a camper or a counselor.
The Double Diamond Equestrian Center LLC Equestrian Club and Equestrian Team (hereinafter referred to as the DDEC Equestrian Club/DDEC Equestrian Team) is aimed at promoting equestrian competition for our riding school students. Its purpose shall be to set minimum standards for competition, to provide information concerning the creation and development of equestrian sport programs, to generally promote the common interests of safe riding instruction and competition, and to educate on all matters related to equestrian competition at the junior and youth level.
The mission of the DDEC Equestrian Club and Equestrian Team is to introduce our riding school students to equestrian sports and to develop understanding and appreciation of equestrian sports through organized competitions and educational opportunities.
•To encourage recognition for our riding school students and to promote the equestrian as an athlete. •To provide riding school students with organized competitive opportunities. •To introduce new riders to equine sports. •To provide riding school students with opportunities to further their education in equine sports and equine-related matters. •To encourage liaison with other equestrian associations for the betterment of equestrian sports (i.e. PBPHC, APHA, AQHA, etc.) •To encourage a higher standard of coaching and instruction. •To provide information concerning the creation and development of mounted and non-mounted equestrian programs. •To establish and enforce DDEC Equestrian Club/Equestrian Team rules, standards, and policies. •To keep pace with the continuing progress of equestrian sports and to encourage good horsemanship. •To generally promote the common interests of riding instruction and competition, and education on matters related to all segments of the horse industry. •To develop team and individual sportsmanship. •To establish a foundation to support the continuing mission of the DDEC Equestrian Club and Equestrian Team.
